you have the best team. and you should consider starting mendenhall over deuce. he's gonna be a TD vulture.

Nothing personal, Maj, but I don't see how his team is best with Graham and Deuce as his runners.
I do like that 3rd receiver, though.

he's top 3 in pretty much every category.

Way to embarrass me guys LOL. That draft was a nightmare, ask BK about it, he'll tell you I was bitchin' the whole time.

he's top 3 in pretty much every category.
Based on your rankings, I guess. But running backs win leagues and he doesn't have a top 15 guy there. Also, I don't see the love over Housh, Welker and Chambers.
I'd much rather have Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith and Joey Galloway.
Aqua4Ever04
07-14-2008, 02:39 AM
Okay now that I look at it again (sorry for tooting my own horn) but how did I not make your receiver list? Fitzgerald and Smith are both top 5 receivers and Galloway has been great in Tampa Bay.

LOL ^^
Aqua is pretty upset about his ranking.

I think people take a lot of credit away from Steve Smith. The Panthers quarterback situation was worse than ours last year and he still had 1000 yards. If Delhomme stays healthy, he'll go back to his old self.

Not only that, he now has two receivers on the opposite side of him that can actually make a play.

I think Welker will have an other great year, Thats Brady's favorite target all game. TJ probably wont but he is their number 1 WR.
Aqua I like your Wide outs just not the Runningbacks.
Edit-I thought you had McGahee and Lewis

I like Aqua's starters. Solid all around. Depth-wise could use a little tinkering. I would definitely recommend he scour the FA lines once the season starts.
I think it's unrealistic to think TJ and Welker will both have that many catches again.
why is that unrealistic? is it more realistic to think that any of your WRs can do that? None of them have a Qb worth speaking of. Galloway is old. Both Fitz and SS are injury prone. To me, I'll take the WRs in their prime with QBs that are on top of the game.
and it's not like i dissed your team. i picked the top 2. is #3 really that bad?

I made a mistake with Garrard. I figured I need a quality backup because of Roethlisberger's injury problems. Still, depth was incredibily hard to come by because of the amount of teams and positions.

True. Not sure who else was available when that picked rolled around but I'm sure in Roesthlisberger's bye week or possibly injury you can find a suitable replacement in FA. Pretty much hope either Garrard gets to pass more (unlikely) or a guy breaks out (Henne? McCown? Beck? Croyle? Edwards?).

Slick has LT and Maroney. Pretty solid backs and Wr's IMO. If Marc Bulger can be even a shadow of his former self hes got a chance to have a nice fantasy season.

Isn't it a little early to be drafting fantasy teams? As things stand now I like this team the best -
Slickj101
QB Marc Bulger
WR Andre Johnson
WR Greg Jennings
WR Laveranues Coles
RB LaDainian Tomlinson
RB Laurence Maroney
TE Vernon Davis
W/R Willie Parker
K Nate Kaeding
DEF New England
BN Jake Delhomme
BN Issac Bruce
BN Reggie Williams
BN Greg Olsen
BN Kevin Jones
BN Neil Rackers
If either Bulger or Delhomme can bounce back this year, that team will be pretty much unstoppable with those running backs. Willie Parker should start over Larry Maroney I think.

I disagree. Willie Parker use to be a top 12 pick he isn't because he doesn't get goaline carries. Maroney is a great back but The Pats hardly run it.

It's funny, but I've never before had a draft where my team could have been so easily interchanged with another team. Just about every single guy you took was either the guy I wanted next, or was someone I was seriously considering.

LT I think makes up for both the problems with the other two backs. But I have to admit, I was basing my opinion on my league's scoring format which awards RBs 2 points for every 10 yards rushing and a lot of bonuses for yard milestones.
If it's standard scoring, I actually like your team the best. But Earnest Graham will have to play well all season and Deuce will have to stay healthy.

I think is standard scoring with PPR. I hoping Graham and Deuce will get the goaline carries along with Mendenhall. I took Ricky and Rice in case Brown and McGahee go down, I really like what Im hearing about Ricky.

Thanks bro. I got ragged on pretty hard for the McFadden pick during the draft I'm not going to lie, but I believe he's either going to be a superstar in the mold of Adrian Peterson or completely overhyped like Reggie Bush. Since we're in a PPR league, I figured that even if my fears are realized - and he is overhyped - a poor version of Reggie overs value to my team.

Chad Johnson is now the #2 WR on that team thanks to Housh's great 2007 and CJ's offseason whining. Kevin Curtis is just one of many targets, and will likely lose catches and yards with a healthy and franchised LJ Smith, a newly-drafted DeSean Jackson, and a newly-acquired Lorenzo Booker ready to go. Cotchery put up so many yards because the running game was totally ineffective; that should be different this time around.

There are better ways to win than streaming defenses.

There are better ways to win than streaming defenses. Its not streaming when you take 2 very good defenses that get a ton of sacks and TO's. Streaming is finding a different one every week. And Ive done that successfully too though I do prefer this method of drafting 2 excellent ones.
If offseason whing drops someone from a #1 to a #2 then T.O. must be #67236 on the depth chart by now. That argument doesnt fly.
Curtis put up similar stats to your boy steve Smith. Hes about as consistent also. The idea that Desean Jackson will take catches from Curtis when hes 4th on the depth chart is funny.
Cotchery i think you have a valid point except that Coles has lost a step and I think Cotchery took the #1 slot from him last year. He was Clemens go to guy an had excellent chemistry with him. IF Clemens wins the job i think he will improve on those stats. If Pennington wins the job i think they'll decline to probably 900/5tds
